Derrick started his career in massage therapy in 2013 after graduating as a massage therapist from the Aveda Institute.  He wanted to learn more and immersed himself into years of an intensive education path and understanding the magic that can emerge from within the body.  His passion and gift to assist others lies in manual therapies and that is what he specializes in.    

 

He is Advanced level John Barnes Myofascial Release, Craniosacral from Upledger and Visceral and other manual therapies of Jean-Pierre Barrel . Derrick has a Master's degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine. Now, weaving together the concepts and principles of over 2,500 years of recorded results. The fascia becomes the interface for your own healing.  

 

Using manual therapy to unlock the door, modern myofascial release to open it, and working together with you, we can bring function back to the parts of yourself, which have been compartmentalized, disconnected, and left in the shadows.   

 

The fascial system being the continuous web of channels from head to toe. With kaleidoscopic reflections from the visceral organs to the system of channels, which network their light, and mapping to the big brain above, organs, nerves, muscles, and bones.  Fascia is all part of one continuous and interconnected web.   

 

Derrick encourages you to take your own well-being into your own hands and to be proactive in unlocking your true potential.  His approach to each manual therapy session is to assess where you are at that moment in time and he will integrate various modalities to have you leave the session feeling better. 

 

Clients are clothed in a manual therapy session-loose fitting shorts and tank top are best in order for him to access the areas he needs to focus on.
