Carrie M

Certified Yoga Instructor

Carrie began practicing yoga herself in 1993. She experienced so many benefits that it has been a strong current in her life ever since.

After 15 years of her own personal Yoga practice, she wanted to work with others and share the benefits of Yoga as an instructor.  In 2008 she completed the 200-hour training to become a registered Yoga Alliance teacher (now E-RYT 200) as well as a registered prenatal yoga teacher. She has training in trauma informed yoga and therapeutic yoga as well.

Carrie focuses on the fundamentals of poses, breath and movement while encouraging you to cultivate awareness of your own body/mind and patterns. Beginning with the body structure, she moves gradually toward awareness of the subtle body from a traditional hatha yogic approach informed by the Ayurvedic perspective.

She teaches yoga fundamentals, hatha, chair, gentle yoga and meditation as well as prenatal and postpartum yoga.  Carries has worked with many students who have had injuries or chronic conditions. Her classes are designed to support the body in healing by balancing strength with relaxation and allowing you to discover hidden potential in your own body/mind.

Carrie has also worked in the environmental field and works currently in refugee resettlement.  She is fluent in multiple languages.  Carrie and her family moved to Minnesota from California in the Summer of 2021.
